Monte Carlo is definitely a resort vs a motel room, and is nicely located right in the middle of the strip. They have a lagoon pool, a kiddie pool, a wave pool, a river ride, and even a spa area. The spa area has nice marble and ceramic decorations, plus massages, facials, wraps, and more.
Getting a Cheap Las Vegas Room
For dining they have a steakhouse, pub, French restaurant, Chinese restaurant, cafe and buffet.
Yes, you can get a cheaper room, but the cheaper rooms at other hotels LOOK cheaper - they are usually threadbare and worn. This is really the least expensive of the "nice hotels" and with the pool options, you can easily stay here for hours and hours, enjoying yourself. That isn't true for many of the other cheap hotels.
Reviews say in general that the hotel is great for the price, and that the only problem is thin walls, which is going to be true at just about any inexpensive hotel you stay at :)
