1974 Christmas Stamp - 10 Cent Angel
This image has a golden background. The font is gothic. It says US 10c on top and Altarpiece, Metropolitan Museum Christmas on the bottom. The central image is an angel in a flowing red gown with yellow wings.It is Angel from the Perussis altarpiece from an anonymous French artist from 1480.
This is the Scott Catalogue #1550 Stamp.
This stamp is very common, and a used stamp is only worth about ?? cent.
