BBC Series Robin Hood
Marion watches the Robin group torch a village, while meanwhile the King is showing up to collect his taxes so Sherrif and group are in a panic. Apparently the King is bringing "The Carnage", too.
It's bizarre - Robin and his guys laugh and boast about having hurt the village and stolen a pig. The King gets presented a feast and women, but orders the food given to the poor and the women sent away. Just what is going on?
It turns out of course that King John has people dressed up as Robin Hood - and that they intercut this with scenes of the "real crew" saying things that seem suspicious but are just a plot coincidence. The King gets the villagers to side with him against Robin Hood, while Robin has to track down the imposters and fight them. Luckily, a group of villagers watches this fight and realizes what is going on.
Marion is suddenly in the king's grasp, being dressed up in fine silks for a night of pleasure. Robin comes in disguised as The Carnage. "Direnno bring us your best claret" Of course Robin comes in to save the day, carrying her off in her new silk dress. They kiss to end the episode. The King "attempted" rape scene was perhaps a bit funny, but there really wasn't much in this episode.
