Semuta is also called starsong, and is a drug. It is extremely addictive and creates a feeling of ecstacy. It comes from elacca wood. Its effects are magnified when taken while listening to soothing music.
One of Baron Harkonnen's Captains, Nefud, is addicted to semuta.
