Crysknife
A crysknife is mentioned immediately when Jessica lands on Atreides - the Shadout Mapes gives her a crysknife when she passes the test of being the predicted prophecy fulfiller. A crysknife is created from a sandworm's tooth. Jessica was told to keep it close to her skin or it would dissolve. If drawn, the blade must be blooded before resheathed.
An unfixed crysknife must be kept by the skin. A fixed knife is one that is made permanent, for storage.
