Corrino, Princess Irulan
Oldest daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV, trained in the Bene Gesserit ways. She was always pruned to become the next Empress, whoever it was that would become Emperor.
When the Empire is brought down by Paul Atreides, Irulan offers to become his wife to keep the empire from fractioning into warfare. She was his wife in name only, however - Paul's love was reserved for his consort, Chani. Paul's only children came from the union of him and Chani.
