Mrs Jennings - Sense and Sensibility

Mrs Jennings is the mother-in-law of Sir John, and is the great match-maker of the country area.

1995 Sense and Sensibility
Mrs. Jennings and her son and law are both giggly, happy-go-lucky people who love to tease each other. They're almost like a married couple as both of them have lost their spouse.

2008 Sense and Sensibility
In this one Sir John's wife is alive with tons of kids, so Mrs. Jennings is the in-house grandmother with her brood of a family. Still, the two like to flirt a lot. She is much more calm and quiet in this version.

1981 Sense and Sensibility
In this one Sir John does have a wife and just two wild children. Mrs. Jennings is fairly sane, not the wildly improbably character in the 1995 version.
