Margaret Dashwood - Sense and Sensibility
Margaret Dashwood is the youngest of the three Dashwood sisters. Her main purpose in the story is to look cute and to say thing impertinantly which other characters might be thinking silently.1995 Sense and Sensibility
I do like Margaret's character in this movie. She's not sappy-cute, she has a nice intelligence to her. I love the initial Atlas scene. The way she hangs out in treehouses and fences with Hugh Grant are very lively and natural to her tom boy character. I love how all of the family members including her scurry away quietly during the final scene with Hugh.
2008 Sense and Sensibility
Margaret really loses her personality here. There's nothing at all unique about her, which is a great shame since the storyline is much longer! She could have been even better than the 1995 one, but instead she's just the "little sister".

1981 Sense and Sensibility
At least Margaret existed in the other versions. They completely erased her from this version! What nonsense!
