Characters of Dan Brown Angels and Demons
In Angels and Demons, Robert Langdon is a 40 yr old teacher living in Massachusetts. He has wisps of grey in his thick brown hair, probing blue eyes, an arrestingly deep voice, and the strong carefree smile of a college athelete. He's 6' tall with a toned body shaped by regular swimming. In fact he's known as 'the dolphin'
Robert loves symbology, water polo and bachelorhood - with his brandy. In fact the only two mentions of alcohol that I recall are brandy in the beginning, and Dolcetto in the end.
The woman he promptly falls in love with is Vittoria Vetra. Vittoria is slim, small breasted, into yoga and scuba diving.
There is Maximilian Kohler, the man who runs CERN and who is pointed at as the 'bad guy' in much of the book. Maximilian is in a wheelchair. Brown seems to have a fascination with putting characters in wheelchairs that are bad, and then making many comments about "Oh nobody would ever suspect him or check him for weapons because they pity his wheelchair status". We talk a lot about the wheelchair / disabilities situation over in the Da Vinci Code pages.
Leonardo Vetra was the dead father who built the great work. Leonardo is a name we all known quite well from the Da Vinci code :)
Commander Olivetti is in charge of the guard. I really hate his ultra-stupid reaction when first told of a threat to his organization, for the sake of plot.
