Geranium Growing Information and Photos
The word "Geranium" refers to a huge variety of flowers. There's a separate group of flowers that we call "cranesbills" that are, in botanical terms, also known as "Geraniums" but most people who talk about geraniums are talking about these "Pelargonium" flowers.Geraniums hail from the southern area of Africa and were first brought to Europe in the early 1600s.
These Geraniums grow in Massachusetts. They grow annually and I generally buy a new plant every spring to use as a potted plant.

Amazingly this next one survived the winter - barely - in a corner of our kitchen. The following year it valiantly made new flowers!


It did even better the following year -


This is it in November, in its quiet stage.

Then it began flowering again in April 2013 -
