Iris Growing Information and Photos
Iris are beautiful plants. They have an interesting construction, with upper petals called standards and then lower petals called falls. I'm not sure what particular type of iris this is growing in my yard, but it has yellow to white standards and purple falls with white trim around the edges. I have moved them twice now and they move quite easily and re-grow in their new spots. I tend to relocate them in September. These Iris grow in Massachusetts. The stems start to come up in mid-April and the blooms appear in the first days of June.
The first photos are from their original location right by the stairs. They made it hard to walk up the stairs, though, so they got relocated further away from the stairs.

This is another type of iris, a paler version
By September the iris are just green leaves. Here are two photos from when I'm in the process of moving them all to the back wall of this garden area.
