I continue to have challenges with Amazon scammers. I have an 11-book series “Journaling with Lisa Shea”. I began this series way back in 2014. The intro book for my series has nearly 500 reviews.

A scammer, on July 1st 2023, published a new book calling it “Journaling with Lisa Shea”. That’s the exact title of my journaling series, written by me, Lisa Shea.
Judging by the scammer’s intro text, it appears the person “Dane Dama” (apparently a fake pen name) lifted my content. It’s especially clear since I donate my proceeds to battered women’s shelters, which is quite rare in the Amazon world.
I wrote Amazon KDP about the issue. They directed me to their specific page on handing copyright issues. We will see how long this process takes. It is fairly egregious if someone is now claiming that they are “Journaling with Lisa Shea” when I have nothing at all to do with this book. Never mind that they’re selling a super-short 35-page paperback book for nearly $10.
The scammer situation at Amazon seems to be getting worse by the month!
UPDATE: On July 5 2023 Amazon deleted the scammer’s fake book!! That is very encouraging news. Thank you to those who helped me report the issue to Amazon!
