Mystic River Kayaking

On August 25, 2013, the Hartford chapter of the Chaine des Rotisseurs had a dockside wine party in Mystic, Connecticut. Bob and I decided to bring our kayaks and enjoy some wine and appetizers from the Mystic River! We even got to see both the main car drawbridge open, as well as the train bridge turn.

Here is a slideshow of the photos we took. I'm also going to load up the two video files.

I am riding a Venus 11 Kayak, made by Ocean Kayak. Bob is in a Predator 13, also made by Ocean Kayak. The camera I use is a Kodak Easyshare Sport camera.

That construction ahead of us in this photo is the car drawbridge. The heavy weights on the left help to lift the bridge up. The video shows that in action.
