Hotels in Ukraine - Kiev, Lviv, Ivano-FrankivskDuring our 10 day trip to Ukraine in 2006, we stayed in 3 different hotels. I have reviews of each hotel, as well as photos, online here.
The Opera Hotel is located right next to the Opera building in downtown Lviv. The location was perfect. The hotel staff was friendly and very eager to please. The restaurant was great, the rooms were great. They had air conditioning and in-room internet. We loved it!

To be fair, even though this was one of the best hotels in Ivano-Frankivsk, it was only $35/night. This town just doesn't have "high end hotels". Still, the staff was surly, the carpet was ripped up, only one elevator was working (and they only had 2 total) and some of the rooms were very small. My mom's bathroom was just a drain in the center of the entire bathroom, like on a cruise ship.

I had expected this to be the best hotel of the set. In some ways it was the worst. The rates were outrageous for things like the internet cafe, and the rooms were tiny.
