Inversion / Upside Down PhotographyInversion photography, or taking photos upside down, is a great way to offer a fresh, new view of a subject. We rarely look at the world upside down, so our brains tend to make assumptions about what we see. By inverting a photo, the viewer is often caught off guard by the results.
This works wonderfully if you get a water surface that is still, and becomes like a glass mirror. You can then create some cool results.
Where does your mind think the horizon is? Where does it think the boat should be situated? At first glance, does the "world" environment seem fairly normal, aside from the kayak?
What are some other situations where you could imagine an inversion photo working well?
