I like making little journals. Brads work very well to connect the pages to the cover, but it makes it hard to open the book. You have to write from the back, as it were.

Target Binder Rings

With these binder rings, I can make covers that can actually open and lay flat. Target sells them. The set has 8 rings, in 4 different sizes. Two are small - a little green and a little blue ring. That means you have to get 2 sets of rings to get a pair of blue and a pair of green. It's a bit annoying - but I can't find *anywhere* else that sells the rings at all.
