You have to sleep! Some people talk about how "it's only a room" and advocate you go for the $29.99 scum hotel. Now I am a very frugal person. I definitely understand that you do not need an $8,000/night room with diamonds and emeralds. However, it is incredibly critical that you be wise about this.

If you haven't travelled before, you might not realize just how important a good night's sleep is. This is especially true if you are going to be out running around all day, in the hot sun, not necessarily eating and drinking properly.

You need a good bed. You need a QUIET room. You need it to be convenient to what you're doing. To be quite honest, that is worth paying some extra money to get.
