Mickey Spillane - Mike Hammer

Mickey Spillane (1918-2006) was born in Brooklyn NY, and set his most famous character, Mike Hammer, as a detective in that town. In fact, he wrote his first novel, I the Jury, in only 19 days!! The novel was an immediate success, and a star was born.

There have been many movies made from Mickey Spillane stories. Each one has a slightly different take on the main character.
